Mason Greenwood spent Christmas with his family at home after flying to Manchester with his partner Harriet Robson.
The Manchester United forward was shopping with his girlfriend Harriet Robson in Hale, Cheshire, before Christmas. He is on loan with the Spanish club Getafe because Old Trafford officials said he couldn’t play for the club because of abuse claims.
They took a plane back to the UK to see family during the La Liga winter break, which lasts from December 23 to January 3. They have a baby girl.
“Mason and Harriet have loved living in Spain,” a person said. There has been time and room for them to enjoy being a young family. Now they are ready to face the challenges of living in a different country.
“During his short career, he has had a lot of problems off the pitch. But he finally seems to be dealing with them and getting himself together.”
“Being on the team has helped him make good friends, and some of the Wags have been nice to Harriet.” They like that they don’t have to worry about being watched when they come out in Madrid.
After United said the month before that he wouldn’t play for them again, Greenwood went to the Madrid-based team in September.
The choice came after the CPS dropped charges of attempted rape, assault, and controlling and intimidating behavior because a key witness refused to help the prosecution.
United then looked into Greenwood’s behaviour on the inside and kept him on suspension while paying him £75,000 a week.
Getafe is said to have told United that they want to pay £40 million to buy Greenwood, but United want to keep the deal as a loan move.
Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and AC Milan are all keeping an eye on him, so his future is still unclear.
Since coming to Getafe in September, the 22-year-old has scored five goals and set up four others in 15 games.
Due to his good play, some United fans want him to come back to Old Trafford, even though the club’s managers said he needed to leave to restart his career and that they had no plans to do so.
Ravel Morrison, a former United starlet, wrote on Twitter, “What a player.” “United needs to get him back!” after seeing a video of Greenwood playing for Getafe.
France star Antoine Griezmann praised Greenwood after he led a late comeback against Atletico that tied the game 3-3. He said, “Mason Greenwood was giving us trouble in the second half.” We lost the game because we couldn’t stop him.
