There has been a lot of talk about what will happen next in Greenwood’s career, and recent events make it seem like he will probably move to Italy.

Lazio, Napoli, and Juventus have all been vying for the 22-year-old player. Lazio was the first team to make an offer for the England international, but their £30 million deal was too low for United, who wanted £40 million.

Even though Juventus has not made a bid yet, The Old Lady is sure they will be able to sign the winger because stories say they have agreed to personal terms with him.

Manchester United would consider 'phased return' and TV interview

United will have to return Greenwood to Old Trafford for training as part of the players they kept at the end of last season if they can not agree on a deal to sell the young star within the next two weeks.Mason Greenwood 'could face TV interview' as part of Man Utd return plan - Mirror Online

According to The Mirror, United will be back at Carrington on July 8 for pre-season training. Greenwood is likely to be back with the club to train for the new season.

So, even with this, the Red Devils are still determined to sell the controversial star in order to get money for other transfers.

The fact that Greenwood is an Englishman who came up through the United school means that the club would make a pure profit from any sale. This is in line with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules. The player is in the last year of his deal, so United is sure to take advantage of this. Greenwood could leave United next year for free.
