Mason Mount is back to full training at Manchester United after another injury that kept him out.

The club said in an update that Mount will not be rushed back and could be ready for new boss Ruben Amorim after the international break. On Monday, Mount trained with his team at Carrington.

Mount hasn’t played since late September, when he came on as a half-time replacement for Kobbie Mainoo in United’s 3-0 loss to Tottenham. He left the game near the end after a collision with Radu Dragusin that hurt his head.

The 25-year-old hasn’t played in seven games, including Sunday’s draw at Old Trafford against his old team, Chelsea. As a result, manager Erik ten Hag was fired, and Ruud van Nistelrooy was named temporary manager until Amorim takes over on November 11.

Mount has been hurt a lot since he moved to United from Chelsea in July of last year. His most recent injury, to his leg, kept him out for four months last season, and he has only played 25 times in 16 months.

Tyrell Malacia also worked out on Monday. The Dutch defender is slowly getting back to playing after missing 18 months because of knee surgery.

Ten Hag’s first player to sign was Malacia in the summer of 2022. He hasn’t played for United since May 2023.

Other players who can’t play because they’re hurt are Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, and Mainoo.
