Kylian Mbappé hasn’t had the best start at Real Madrid as hoped. The former star player for Paris Saint-Germain got five goals in his first five La Liga games, but only two of them came from free kicks. The other three were penalties.
The much-anticipated move of Mbappé to Real Madrid was supposed to make the team even stronger in LaLiga and the UEFA Champions League, but it hasn’t worked out yet.
Even though he scored seven goals in 11 games across all competitions, he hasn’t made much of an effect on the team’s play as a whole. He, Rodrygo Goes, and Vinícius Jr. don’t seem to get along with each other very well, which has made Real Madrid’s attacking trio less successful.
With only 14 goals scored, the output has been much lower than expected, especially when you consider how excited everyone was about Mbappé’s coming and how well these attackers did in LaLiga and the Champions League last season.
Many people will say that Mbappé needs more time, but El Confidencial, a Spanish newspaper, criticized the Frenchman for his poor play.
The Spanish news source said, “Having Mbappé feels like we’ve signed the Pelé of the Cosmos.” “Every game feels like it could be his last; we don’t mind his mistakes because of everything he did for us during those great summers.” In the same game against Villarreal, Vinícius got the ball just outside the box, where three players were standing around him. He passed the ball to the other player perfectly after a smooth first touch from his hip.
“He fired a shot where there didn’t seem to be anything in an instant.” The kids yelled, “Goal in the top corner!” The goalie found out what had happened a short time later. It was a beautiful show of skill, quick thought, and speed, with just the right amount of lying until the end. That’s the kind of football that Vinícius and Rodrygo play, but Kylian doesn’t seem to be able to do it at the time.
“It takes Vinícius less than a second to shoot from the time he gets the ball.” Some people are only able to do that, and the guards always look like they could have done more, like they’re attached to a post with invisible strings. When up against a genius like that, defenses can only watch the disaster unfold.
