Mohamed Salah scored a great goal that set a new Champions League record as Liverpool beat Bologna 2-0 at home.

In the first half, Alexis MacAllister scored the first goal. In the 75th minute, Salah scored a great goal to make it 2-0.

In his time at Liverpool, Salah has broken many records. When his Reds career is over, he will leave the club as one of the best legends of all time. 

He has scored 42 goals in the Champions League for an English club, which is more than any other player in Premier League history. 

It was also the fastest hat-trick by a replacement in the Champions League. He scored all three goals in six minutes and twelve seconds against Rangers in 2022. 

Salah scored three goals against Bologna, making him the top African scorer in the history of the Champions League.

Hadier Drogba, a former Chelsea player, got 44 goals in the competition, one more than Salah.  

Samuel Eto’o, a forward who has played for Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Cameroon, is in third place with 30 goals. 

According to Squawka, Salah also broke other records. He was the first player for Liverpool to score in five straight Champions League games at Anfield, and he was also the first player for an English club to score and set up a goal in nine Champions League games. 

Salah has scored most of his Champions League goals for Liverpool, but he did score twice for Basel in the tournament in 2013.

Liverpool has won both of their Champions League games so far this season. Their win against AC Milan came after their win against Bologna.
