Erik ten Hag stated earlier today that Mason Mount was back on the field after the injury he got a few weeks ago. At first, he was supposed to be absent for a month.

The boss of Manchester United wasn’t sure when the England midfielder would be ready to play again, which suggests that Mount probably won’t play against Newcastle United tomorrow.

Manchester United injury news with Mount back training

For United, the last thing they want is for Mount to be rushed back too soon, which could make the injury worse. There’s no doubt that his trust is already low, and the Reds don’t want it to drop even more.

It’s good to see the former Chelsea player back out there, though, because United doesn’t have many players in that area.

Mount has a real chance to use that area going into the winter. He has done some good things since he joined, but his results and minutes on the field have not been consistent.

Christian Eriksen and Casemiro will not be able to play, so Mount will get chances when he comes back. There needs to be a good run of games for him to show his worth. After that, I’m sure he’ll start to play really well.

Mount seems like the ideal player for this system. He just needs to gain confidence and be able to play in the spot he wants to. Don’t stick him out too far. Don’t let him go too deep. Because that’s why United paid so much to get him, let him start in the middle of the field.
