IVAN TONEY is hoping to pocket MORE than Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes if he joins the Red Devils this summer.
Toney has been heavily linked with a move away from Brentford, with previous reports speculating that Arsenal were frontrunners.

However, given their disastrous goal-scoring campaign, United has emerged as possible dark horses in the hunt to recruit him.
The combination of Brentford’s cost and Toney’s anticipated salary, which are reportedly in the neighborhood of £250k per week, presents a challenge for many contenders.
This figure, which comes to £13 million annually, is another reason Brentford isn’t in the running for an extension.
Toney would make £10k more a week than the Red Devils’ captain Fernandes if he signed on at his proposed salary.
Despite playing little this season, Mason Mount and Anthony Martial are currently paid the £250,000 per week salary.
Despite finishing seventh in the rankings, United has the fourth biggest wage bill in the Premier League and is no stranger to overpaying players.
Toney would actually be more valuable than the other players on the club if he scored goals for United.
If United’s intentions for a mass departure this summer come to fruition, they might save millions in salary, as Casemiro, Raphael Varane, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Jadon Sancho are all expected to depart the team.
It was widely reported last week that the Bees had reduced their asking price from £100 million to £40 million.
However, following Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Sheffield United by Brentford, manager Thomas Frank later refuted this.
Play VideoWatch Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag stormed out of the Bournemouth draw press conference.
“Normally I don’t go into these price labels, but I would say £30–40 million is very cheap for a Premier League goalscorer who scores 20 goals,” Frank stated.
Arsenal and Chelsea withdrew their interest in the England international due to the initial £100 million fee.

Arsenal may make a summertime move for Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting CP in an attempt to add a striker with a lower profile.
Nevertheless, Ben Jacobs predicts that Brentford will make an offer of about £80 million for Toney this summer.
Toney’s stats this season since January
Erik ten Hag’s team deserved to lose each of their last three drawn games against Brentford, Liverpool and Bournemouth.
On goal difference, United are ninth in the league, while only seven teams have scored fewer than their 47 goals.
And if we give any credence to ‘expected points’, then that stat would have them 15th in the table.
