New Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim has suffered another injury blow as star man Victor Lindelof limped off on international duty with Sweden😰😰

It looks like Ruben Amorim got hurt below before he even led his first game as manager of Manchester United.

This week, the Portuguese man has been in Manchester getting used to his new job as head coach of the Red Devils. He left his job at Sporting Lisbon in his home country to take the job.

He was seen taking in the sights of the city and meeting some of his players at Carrington while most of his players were away playing for their countries.

For that reason, United players like Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho have been going all over the world to play for their countries during the last break of the year.

Not everyone has had the chance. Stars like Marcus Rashford were not picked to play for their countries, and Harry Maguire is still hurt and healing.

One player, on the other hand, has been playing for Sweden, but he may have hurt himself so that Amorim has to think about what to do before his first game as manager of the club.

Victor Lindelof has been a bit-part player for United for most of his seven-year stay, never really securing a spot in the starting lineup despite playing 266 times for the Red Devils.

He likely wanted to play some games early on in Amorim’s first season as manager, since the new coach is likely to use a scheme with three center backs.

That’s good news for players like Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt, who would almost certainly get to play while Leny Yoro gets back in shape.

Most likely, that back three would be the first choice. Maguire, Jonny Evans, and Lindelof would be on standby in case they were needed.

But since Yoro isn’t playing and Martinez’s health isn’t clear, Amorim will probably have to use those players right away if he wants to keep the same scheme.

Lindelof, on the other hand, left Sweden’s win over Slovakia on Saturday with a limp, which could be a problem for Amorim when his players get back from international duty.

Viktor Gyokeres (Amorim’s No. 9 at Sporting) and Alexander Isak scored both goals in the home team’s 2-1 win in the Nations League match. Lindelof was named to the starting side.

That night, though, the United back was hurt in less than 30 minutes and needed two members of the Sweden medical staff to help him off the field. This makes it less likely that he will play in Amorim’s first game next weekend against Ipswich.

Martinez, on the other hand, got back early from international service to meet Amorim, the new manager.

The 26-year-old was called up by Argentina to play against Peru and Paraguay in their World Cup qualifiers, but he couldn’t play because of an injury he got against Leicester City that was being looked at.

Martinez could have stayed in Argentina with his family during the whole international break, but he started his trip back to England on Saturday so that he could start working early with Amorim.

As soon as he gets to Manchester, the first thing he will do is get tests to see how bad the physical pain was that kept him from playing for Argentina.
