Thanksgiving will not find Taylor Swift at home, at least not in Kansas City. In contrast to earlier reports that he would be spending the holiday with his fiancée Taylor and her parents, Travis Kelce disclosed on Wednesday’s edition of New Heights that he will be spending Turkey Day by himself this year.
The plans that Travis shared with his elder brother Jason included “feasting on KFC because I won’t have anybody here.” Hearing that he would be by himself, Jason encouraged his brother to come see his family for a “short trip” to Philadelphia, where the Eagles center resides with his wife, Kylie, and their three girls, Wyatt, Elliote, and Bennett. He also mentioned that they would “have plenty of food.”
The two lovers would be spending their first Thanksgiving together and introducing their parents, according to TMZ earlier this week. They “are attempting to work out their schedules to make sure they set aside as much time together as possible,” the person continued.
While Kelce is in the midst of his NFL season, Swift is currently on the second leg of her Eras Tour and will be playing in São Paulo on Friday, Nov. 24.
In another portion of the presentation, the brothers discussed their early Thanksgivings. Before they were busy becoming great NFL players (Jason has featured in multiple Thanksgiving games), they used to spend their mornings playing pickup games.
Travis might not agree, but Jason went on to say that Turkey Day is one of the “best” holidays. Being a “picky eater,” Jason recalled that Travis’s days “always ended in tears” due to his father Ed Kelce “screaming” at the younger son to finish his food.
