‘Not involved’ – Harry Maguire’s strong reaction when he SWEAR the referee while checking VAR for Man Utd’s goal

HARRY MAGUIRE was left baffled as Manchester United saw a goal get disallowed against Fulham.

The Red Devils edged the Cottagers 1-0 yesterday after a last-gasp Bruno Fernandes strike sealed a much-needed win.

But when Scott McTominay tapped in from close range in the first half, United appeared to be ahead.

The linesman gave the goal, but after a protracted VAR review, it was chalked off.

Maguire was offside during the build-up, but he was still considered involved since he attempted to kick the ball.

Referee John Brooks determined that the center back was interfering with play after looking over the decision and calling the player to the pitchside monitor.

While the official was looking at the screen, Maguire protested his innocence.

He was videoed by a Fulham fan as he shouted: “I wasn’t even involved ref.

“Hey, I wasn’t even involved, fu hеll.”

Fans fumed at the disallowing of the goal, one said: “There is a clear agenda against Man Utd.”

Another added: “The refs are a disgrace.”

Others praised Maguire for showing his passion, as a supporter commented: “Give him the captain’s armband.”

A fourth wrote: “Maguire is a whole vibe.”

The decision was VAR’s first controversial moment of the day after they later allowed Newcastle’s winner against Arsenal amid much debate over whether the ball went out or if there was a foul in the build-up.
