‘Not more’ – Travis Kelce’s injury status sparks the same Taylor Swift joke

Travis Kelce suffered a low-ankle sprain in Sunday’s win against the Minnesota Vikings.

It doesn’t appear serious; the Kansas City Chiefs tight end later returned to the game and caught a touchdown pass.

Obviously, Kelce and the Chiefs will know more about his status in the next few days. The matter is complicated by the fact the Chiefs play the Thursday Night Football game against the Denver Broncos.

Kelce’s quick return to the game might be why veteran NFL insider Ian Rapoport had a little fun with his update on the All-Pro’s condition. He reported “Travis Kelce suffered a low-ankle sprain … of course, he shook it off, returned and caught a touchdown.”

Rapoport’s “he shook it off” appeared to be a clever reference to Taylor Swift’s hit song, Shake it Off. Swift and Kelce, as you’ve probably heard several hundred times this NFL season, are a thing.

Once you’ve seen the reference, you can’t unsee it, and plenty of fans appreciated Rapoport’s sense of humor.
