Liverpool declared last month that they had agreed to pay up to £85 million to acquire the striker from Benfica.

Additionally, the fact that he has gained a significant amount of muscle since his debut season with Benfica may have contributed to his recent success scoring goals.

At their preseason training camp in Austria, he posted an Instagram photo of himself and his new Reds teammates having fun and going fishing, showcasing his toned body.

Nunez not only has more hair but also more muscle (and at least two more abs) than in the 2020 photo.

Nunez’s month-long tenure at Liverpool won’t yield much, but the team may be aiming to follow Bayern Munich’s lead in nurturing youthful talent.

Players like Alphonso Davies, Leon Goretzka, and Robert Lewandowski have bulked up since joining the German champions.

The other Liverpool players seem to have more muscles than mussels in Nunez’s fishing-themed Instagram photo.
