Real Madrid confirmed the completion of the recruitment of Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer.

Real Madrid, on Monday, announced the signing of French superstar, Kylian Mbappé, with the Spanish giants and the 25-year-old forward reaching an agreement that will see him wearing the iconic white jersey for the next five seasons.

Expressing his joy on Monday, in a post on X, Mbappe said that the move was a dream come true.

He wrote, “A dream comes true, So happy and proud to join the club of my dream @real Madrid. Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. Can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thanks for your unbelievable support. Go Madrid.”

Earlier, the official statement from Real Madrid read, “Official statement. 03/06/2024 Real Madrid C.F. and Kylian Mbappé have reached an agreement whereby he will be a Real Madrid player for the next five seasons.”

The Bernabeu club announced: ” Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe reached an agreement that he will be a player of the team for the next 5 seasons.”

“The world star came to the European champions at the age of 25. The player just had the best scoring season ever with PSG (44 goals) and won the title of top scorer of the French National Championship for the 6th time in a row. (27 goals)”, Real added.

In his first season at the Bernabeu, Mbape was said to receive a salary of 15 to 20 million euros. Regarding the issue of sharing image copyrights, Mbappe and Real have reached an agreement. In addition, he also received bonuses and bribery fees amounting to hundreds of millions of euros.

Money for Mbappe is now said to no longer be a big concern. He agreed to reduce his salary to fulfill his dream of playing for Real. At the Bernabeu Stadium, the 2022 World Cup top scorer has the ability to wear the vacant number 9 shirt.

The French player is also ready to play as a central striker at Real Madrid. Since the beginning of his career, Mbappe has preferred to play as a left striker, where he has a certain freedom to move into the middle and score goals.
