For some time now, there has been uncertainty about Arda Guler’s future at Real Madrid, particularly in light of reports that the player feels underappreciated there.
The Turkish sensation still does not receive a fair amount of playing time under Carlo Ancelotti, despite his incredible comeback from a devastating injury sustained in the previous season and his consistent performance for club and nation.
Rumors that the player is thinking about leaving Real Madrid surfaced earlier this week due to his low ranking in the manager’s hierarchy. Fenerbahce, his previous team, was mentioned as a potential destination.
Jose Mourinho was reportedly intrigued by the Real Madrid star’s profile and was thinking about sending him on a temporary contract to Turkey, as was made public earlier today.

Now according to reports from Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, however, the whole story of Mourinho and Fenerbahce trying to lure the player back is false.
Guler is completely focused on the project at hand and is happy at Real Madrid. He is determined to succeed at the club of his dreams no matter what the cost and will thus fight it out against all the odds.
So far this season, Guler has participated in seven games for Real Madrid and started on three occasions. However, he averages just 37 minutes per match and most of his game-time has come in fringe contributions off the bench.
Guler and his entourage believe he deserves better, especially given the conspicuous impact he delivers on games when called upon. It remains to be seen if his situation improves after the international break.
