He was once among the most expensive young players available.
Fans can’t believe their eyes when Manchester United announces their asking price for Mason Greenwood.
After it was determined that Greenwood could not further his career at United, he was placed on loan at Getafe over the summer. It is now thought that another La Liga team is interested in signing the 22-year-old.
The latest report outlines the expenses United is incurring as a result of Greenwood’s on-loan stint with Getafe. The player is still under contract to United through the summer of 2025.
It is thought that Greenwood has also caught Sevilla’s eye as a result of his performance at Getafe.
With both Getafe and Sevilla eager to sign Greenwood full time, it’s being reported that United are looking to let Greenwood go.
And the price they’re asking for is reported to be around €20M-€25M for the striker according to Team Talk.

Speaking at a fans’ forum last week, United’s chief executive Richard Arnold said of the £75,000 a week forward: “With Mason, as I am sure you can appreciate, this was an extremely difficult and complex situation.
“We conducted a detailed investigation over several months, considering all the evidence available.
“The evidence presented to us contained important facts that were not in the public domain. I made the ultimate decision as CEO that Mason’s career should continue elsewhere.
“It is true that my decision evolved over time, but I believe we came to the right conclusion for all parties. However, I can assure you that we have listened to the feedback and criticism and there are learnings that we can take forward.”
Now, however, it appears that Greenwood’s time at Man Utd is well and truly over.
