The Reds returned to work on Tuesday to prepare for their match against the Magpies on Sunday after defeating AFC Bournemouth at home during the previous weekend.

Both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz were allowed to take part in Liverpool’s practice on Tuesday.

Despite the fact that both players had injury concerns and were replaced as a precaution, the Reds overcame Bournemouth 3-1 on Saturday in their home Premier League debut.

This news will be viewed as a very positive development given that both are well enough to participate in an early training session and that Jurgen Klopp’s team is scheduled to play Newcastle United at St. James’ Park on Sunday afternoon.

On Saturday, Klopp remarked, “[Trent] informed me he got a kick that was really painful. “But it was a kick, not a twist or a tumble. We changed because of this, but I hope he’ll be okay.

Diaz, who was withdrawn late in the game and also got treatment, is healthy and available for selection for Sunday’s match against the squad who beat them to a top-four finish the previous season.

However, Curtis Jones was not visible in the action because he did not play on Saturday due to an ankle injury. The England Under-21 player was probably still recovering from the problem in preparation for a comeback, and Klopp will provide the most recent fitness update at his press conference on Friday at the AXA Training Center.

Various new signings Wataru Endo, who abruptly joined the squad from Stuttgart last week for almost £16 million, was able to participate in another practice with his new teammates.

The Japanese international made his Reds debut over the weekend when he entered the game as a substitute after Alexis MacAllister was dismissed from the contest.

Klopp was seen teaching Endo some tactical advice as the 30-year-old gets ready for the weekend trip to Newcastle. Following a red card and dismissal, former Stuttgart player Mac Allister might suddenly be a key player in the North East.

Stefan Bajcetic and Thiago Alcantara were not present, and Klopp will speak to the media at the training facility on Friday and include the Spanish pair in his most current update.
