A magnificent Alejandro Garnacho overhead kick gave Manchester United a 3-0 Premier League win over Everton on Sunday.

Garnacho’s heroics stunned Everton’s cheering fans, and United scored twice in the second half to keep the Toffees in 19th for the weekend.

Sean Dyche won’t be discouraged by his team’s performance, but their final third inefficiency cost them. United capitalized on little to win three critical points.

Garnacho gave United the ultimate silencer, and Erik ten Hag would have emphasized the opening exchanges given the maelstrom his team were entering.

His Puskas-worthy overhead kick with two minutes left Goodison Park startled as their team fell behind, but the demonstrations went forward as planned.

United controlled the hosts after gaining the lead by keeping possession in their own third. After getting past Garnacho’s heroics, Everton resumed pressuring the feeble visitors. Toffees turned it on after 30 minutes and squandered many opportunities before halftime.

United’s opposite threat was nonexistent amid Everton’s bombardment, but they maintained their 1-0 advantage at halftime.

After sleepingwalking into halftime, Marcus Rashford scored a penalty to put the visitors up 2-0 before the hour. VAR resulted in Ashley Young being penalized for diving instead of Anthony Martial.

Even against a deepening United backline, the hosts were well behind after that. Everton weakened as Andre Onana stayed strong in goal. The Red Devils won 15 minutes from time as Martial finished a quick movement by beating Jordan Pickford.

Diogo Dalot (7/10) Held his ground down the right and threatened in the last third with his deliveries.

Harry Maguire (7/10) at CB Maguire’s revival continues. On Sunday, the defense played well.

CB: Victor Lindelof (5/10). Did not like fighting Calvert-Lewin, especially in the first half.

LB Luke Shaw (7/10): Shaw returned to play with a strong defense. Left-backs were usually cunning in the build-up. A huge help.

Kobbie Mainoo (8/10) United fans have been eager for Mainoo’s return since his injury setback, and it’s understandable. The young midfielder was excellent, taking responsibility in the build-up and advancing possession. A crucial goal-line clearing in the first period showed his hustle off the ball.

CM: Scott McTominay (5/10). The Scot sometimes felt outclassed by his inexperienced midfield partner.

Marcus Rashford: 5/10 Outside of his great penalty, horrible. Struggled to keep possession but improved on the counter late.

Bruno Fernandes (7/10) entered the match after the restart. Fernandes’ transition ball for Martial gave United their third, which was devastating.

Alejandro Garnacho, 7/10 LM It was one of the finest goals ever and a Puskas candidate. Simply amazing. He won’t mind his meager efforts after that gorgeous ending.

ST: Anthony Martial (7/10). Though he was quiet early on, he helped United win a penalty and score their third with a delicate finish.
