The midfielder attempted a no-look backwards pass with the outside of his boot
Mainoo, 18, suffered an ankle injury during United’s pre-season clash with Real Madrid in July.
As he works to improve his fitness, the midfielder resumed full first team training earlier this week.
Fans are anticipating the youngster’s comeback after Man Utd posted a film of him on social media on Friday.
Many were particularly amazed by a challenging feat he was able to do.
After receiving the ball in a small amount of space, Mainoo completed a backwards no-look pass with the outside of his boot.
Fans took to the comments to react, with one person tweeting: “Mainoo‘s pass, I can’t sleep.”
Another added: “Dude wasn’t injured, he’s been upgrading skills I guess 😂.”
A third wrote: “I have watched this 10×. That’s Pogba vibes.”
While a fourth fan commented: “How did he do that? Man! This boy is a rare talent!”

Mainoo put in a strong performance in training, but Erik ten Hag is not anticipated to choose him for the team to play Sheffield United this weekend because he has not yet reached full fitness.
Due to an ankle injury he received while serving on the international team, Casemiro is also expected to miss this game.
Despite initial injury concerns, Rasmus Hojlund, Sofyan Amrabat, and Sergio Reguilon are set to play.
