Andre Onana’s mind games left supporters in hysterics, and one Arsenal star even shushed him.
In the inaugural match of their tour of the United States, Manchester United suffered a 2-1 defeat to the Gunners in Los Angeles.
Moments later, Rasmus Hojlund sustained an injury and was unable to continue.
Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus equalised the score before Gabriel Martinelli secured the victory with ten minutes remaining.

Onana, the custodian for the Red Devils, was observed making an effort to fend off Arsenal’s Fabio Vieira and several of his teammates during the penalties.
The Cameroonian ace then took a step to his right and began pointing at the vast expanse to his left, almost daring the Portuguese ace to shoot there.
Onana, who was one of United’s most impressive players against Arsenal, continued to extend his arms in that direction as the ice-cold Vieira advanced to receive his kick.
Nevertheless, the United goalkeeper’s theatrics were unsuccessful in achieving the desired outcome, as he dived in the opposite direction of his intended trajectory, allowing the midfielder to score in the opposition corner.
Another individual stated, “The player was also proficient in mind reading.” I am ecstatic about it
A third commented: “He will thrive in comedy.”
A fellow fan called him a “funny guy” as another declared that he was “too funny”.
A sixth said: “That’s a clown move.”
While a seventh added: “Onana played too much Fifa.”
However, that was not the sole endeavour that Onana made.
He had saved Kai Havertz’s kick to give United the advantage before Gabriel Magalhaes strode forward to take Arsenal’s final kick.
Onana once again attempted to signal at which part of the goal the defender should shoot at, only to be comically sent the wrong way again as he went the way his rival had pointed at.
Then Gabriel scooped up the ball and placed his finger to his lips in order to shush his foe.
Fortunately for United they still went on to win the shoot-out as Jadon Sancho stepped up to convert the final effort.
Meanwhile, the man Onana replaced as the club’s No.1 David de Gea is allegedly in talks with a Serie A club and could reject transfer offers from Saudi Arabia and USA.
The Spanish goalie, 33, exited Old Trafford as a free agent last summer after 12 years at the club – even though he won the Premier League Golden Glove in his final term.
The Red Devils infamously released the star on his wedding day in June.
The keeper has been linked with various Premier League clubs, such as Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.
And he has also been “presented with several options, including offers from Saudi Arabia, the United States and Italy”.
And it is the latter that they state could be on the verge of happening.
We reported in the week how De Gea has been offered to Genoa.
Now this fresh report has claimed that he is in talks to join the Serie A club on a free transfer.
