Mason Mount, a football player for Chelsea and England, is the newest person to put together his own Matchesfashion Shop With… outfit. His style on the pitch is well known and praised, and now Mount’s style off the pitch is highlighted in an edit that chooses some of his best pieces from the high-end online store.

 Mount’s picks include patterned Bode shirts, Visvim trainers, JW Anderson pleated trousers, and a S.S. Daley jumper. These clothes take classic shapes to a new level with modern construction and print.

The collection includes a photo shoot and chat with the football player where he talks about his personal life and his goals in sports. Mount says that winning the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021 was a “so special and meaningful experience” for him. “I didn’t clean the boots after the game; I kept them.”

 Mount also talks about his huge collection of trainers: ‘I haven’t counted, but I’d say there are probably 100 pairs in there, and they all have to mean something to me…’ These are some of the rarest ones I have. I bought two from a sneaker shop in New York many years ago. I haven’t worn them in a while, but I keep them for sure.

When I was younger, I was even smaller than I am now. I used to always wear jeans or tracksuits that were too tight, but now that I’m older and know more about fashion, I dress more freely…
