Raphinha’s limping off the field against Sevilla before halftime appears to have added to Barcelona’s record of injuries.
In the 37th minute, the Brazilian was replaced after slipping past the Sevilla defense. He had the ball in his hands and was preparing to cut in and shoot when he pulled up before the movement was complete. Raphinha tested it out with the back of his thigh, then fell to the ground.
Coming off for Fermin Lopez, Diario AS reports that Raphinha may be out for at least a month due to a torn thigh muscle. The matches against Porto, Granada, Athletic Club, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Real Madrid would be off-limits as a result.
Sport, however, asserts that he will play in El Clasico on October 28. They claim that although more tests will be done, he will undoubtedly miss the matches against Porto and Granada.Barcelona now has just four attackers left after Raphinha’s injury, including 16-year-old Lamine Yamal. Given his advanced age, Xavi Hernandez, who was instrumental in securing the victory over Sevilla, will be anxious to limit his playing time. His other choices include Joao Felix, Ferran Torres, and Robert Lewandowski.
