In response to his very unsuccessful debut performance against Arsenal, Rasmus Hojlund has delivered a message to United supporters.
Tonight, Manchester United had a lot of bad luck. Even though Arsenal won the game at the Emirates 3-1, the Red Devils’ effort was still evident.
Martin Odegaard quickly equalized after Marcus Rashford had scored the game’s first goal. The Gunners were able to secure all three points on the evening thanks to two late goals from Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus.
Rasmus Hojlund, making his professional debut, was one positive in the dismal loss. On his first appearance for United, the Danish attacker appeared energized. The first of many appearances in a red shirt was followed by a message for the crowd.
A message from Rasmus Hojlund to United supporters
The forward, who is 20 years old, posted a reflection on Instagram about his bittersweet day.
One positive from the defeat is that United now has a reliable center-forward again.
During his cameo, the rambunctious Dane made a scene and was a breath of fresh air up top. He wat grabbing onto loose balls, putting himself up against Arsenal defenders and linking up moves. He appeared fantastic.
Despite all of his reservations, Hojlund’s brief appearance demonstrated his undoubted strengths for United. He will grow and prosper at the club at such a young age. It’s quite thrilling.
There is currently an international break, but United will resume play on September 16 when they host Brighton. Let’s approach the situation with optimism.
