Even though Real Madrid should have won, the match between Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano ended in a draw at the Santiago Bernabéu. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to overcome Dimitrievski’s strength in the end. Because they performed so well, Ancelotti’s squad had the opportunity to take the lead early in the match.
Valverde faced Dimitrievski one-on-one after stealing the ball from Unai Lopez and driving into the box, but he was unable to defeat him.
Joselu had two excellent opportunities in the 26th minute. First, a header from Modrić’s corner missed the mark, and then he missed a cross-shot with his right foot. Madrid launched a ceaseless assault on the Rayo Vallecano goal after that. Bellingham performed well on his own and then found Fran García by cutting the ball behind the defenders. The ball was struck forcefully by the defender, but it narrowly missed the crossbar (31 minutes). Alaba soon tried his luck from the area’s edge with a left-footed shot.

Vini Jr. got the greatest opportunity of the game in the 39th minute. He raced past two defenders, crossed the goal line, and returned the ball to Joselu. Dimitrievski stopped the ball when the forward smacked it and turned it behind for a corner. Just before halftime, Bellingham came very close to making it 1-0. Following a brilliant cut-back through two defenders in the box, the Englishman’s right-footed strike narrowly missed the goal.
Following the break, business as usual continued. Two excellent opportunities for Real Madrid came in the 55th and 57th minutes. In the opening, Joselu’s attempt was wide due to Valverde’s cross. Alaba’s free kick missed the goal in the subsequent one. Our squad continued to attempt until they found a means to win the game. Vini Jr. scored in the 66th minute, but Joselu was flagged offside, so the goal was overturned.
Carvajal scored with a low cross from the right side after just five minutes. Rodrygo attempted a cross-field shot, but it almost missed the Rayo post. The two Madrid players took advantage of the game’s final opportunity. The full-back, following some excellent play with Valverde, put Rodrygo through. Their back heel was halted by Dimitrievski. However, despite Real Madrid’s several opportunities, the score remained 0-0 until the very end.
