The Frenchman Eduardo Camavinga didn’t finish the Real Madrid training session at the Municipal Stadium in Braga, on the eve of the third matchday of the Champions League and just five days before the Spanish football classic in Barcelona.
The French midfielder left the field accompanied by the club’s medical staff before the conclusion of Real Madrid’s final training session, held at the unique Municipal Stadium in Braga.
Built to host the 2004 Euro Cup in Portugal, the stadium is situated in a quarry in Braga and only has stands on the sides of the field. On one end, there’s a rock wall from the quarry. It was the setting where Real Madrid wrapped up their short preparation for their ‘Champions’ match, in which, having won their first two matches, they have the chance to take a significant step towards reaching the round of 16.

With the absences of the injured Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao, and Dani Ceballos, and without Arda Güler, who stayed in Madrid to continue his physical conditioning, Carlo Ancelotti led a light session during which Camavinga’s ongoing discomfort was confirmed.
The Italian coach had already announced in a press conference that he would make changes to his starting lineup due to several injuries and fatigue among some of his players. He finalized the preparations by assessing the condition of his players in the first training session that brought together those who had been starters in the Sevilla league match with the substitutes.
It seems likely that players like Nacho Fernández, Fran García, Luka Modric, and Joselu Mato will be new additions to Ancelotti’s starting lineup. While Carlo Ancelotti was set to return to the starting XI, they are still waiting for his progress and will seek another option in the midfield.
