Reports say that Real Madrid is keeping an eye on Manchester United’s young star Alejandro Garnacho after Lionel Messi praised him.

Garnacho had a big year with United’s Under-18s team. In 34 games across all events, he scored 14 goals and set up six others.

They are going to offer the winger a new, better deal because new boss Erik ten Hag thinks he will play on the first team.

DefensaCentral says that Real are keeping an eye on the contract talks between Real and the Argentinean player because they could step in at any time.

The 17-year-old’s contract ends next year, and Real Madrid will be able to talk to him about a new one if one isn’t agreed upon.

While Real is “very closely” watching him, other teams are also keeping an eye on the talks that are going on.

Following a busy season during which he impressed United’s leaders, Garnacho is now having a summer break in Ibiza.

The Argentine was a big reason why the reserves won the FA Youth Cup, and he also played twice for the main team.

All of that led to the teenager being called up by Lionel Scaloni, the boss of Argentina.

Even though Garnacho never got to play for United’s first team, he did train with the best players in his country and won Messi’s respect.

The young player was brought to Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid in 2020 and made a name for himself right away.

The Argentine star was called the “jewel” of Atletico’s youth program, and the big Madrid club felt bad when they had to let him go.
