Jude Bellingham, a midfielder for Real Madrid, honored Luka Modric following his assist in the win against Girona.
In the 3-0 victory, Bellingham not only scored but also set up Joselu’s goal.
Speaking afterwards, he said: “They were playing really well, so it was a big win. With three goals and a clean sheet against a side that was performing admirably, we sent a message to La Liga.
I’m comfortable with this squad. I can go around freely, and I’m having a great time here and playing football. I always try to give it my all when I wear this shirt.”
It was not a very good finale, to be honest. Although I might have scored more, the victory is what matters most.”
“I’ve been watching Modri every day for three months,” he continued, speaking of his assistance. All I want to do is be artistic. It was a good goal because it took the pressure off us that they put on us at the start.”
For the England midfielder, that’s already seven goals and two assists.
It’s not awful. Though the season is lengthy, it’s a good start, and I hope it stays that way. I’m not always going to score or assist, but I’ll try to do my best to have an impact on the game.”
