Real Madrid’s President Expresses Discontent Over Veteran Midfield Pairing, Sends Message to Ancelotti

Real Madrid has had a nearly flawless start to the new season, winning five of its first six La Liga games.

Los Blancos, however, have through numerous revolutionary phases over the previous two months, even though the club has continued to perform effectively.

One of the most noticeable shifts has been Carlo Ancelotti’s preference for youthful midfielders over established players like Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

Perez no longer supports the Kroos-Modric combination.

The Athletic claims that Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, is no longer pleased with the pairing of Kroos and Modric.

This occurs shortly after Ancelotti took a chance by starting the two seasoned midfielders against Atletico Madrid over the weekend.

Unfortunately, the two had no effect as Real Madrid fell to their local rivals 3-1.

The majority of the criticism was directed against Ancelotti, who did accept full responsibility for the loss. However, Modric and Kroos’ underwhelming play together with Perez’s dislike of their partnership should act as a red flag for both players.

What awaits us in the future?

To persuade Luka Modric and Toni Kroos to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu for an additional year, Real Madrid had to go through a lot.

But everything points to the likelihood that they won’t stick around past the season’s finish. The amount of time that Modric spends playing has significantly decreased as a result of Ancelotti’s continued faith in Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga.

Despite having a significant mentoring role for Arda Guler, Germany’s Kroos has also struggled with playing time, having started just three league games this season.

Therefore, Real Madrid is logically making the right choice by placing greater trust in young players as they prepare for a full transition by the conclusion of the season.
