Real Madrid superstar Thibaut Courtois is set to begin his motorsport journey with the formation of an F4 team for the Spanish team

Thibaut Courtois, a Belgian goalie, and Roberto Merhi, a former Formula 1 driver, look like they want to start a team in Spanish Formula 4 for the 2019 season.

The team might even have their first race in the junior series the following year. The name “TC Racing” is thought to come from the letters of the Spanish football player.

Real Madrid's Thibaut Courtois set to enter motorsports in 2024 by creating a Formula 4 team

In the past, Courtois has been seen a lot in the Formula 1 pits, including at Monaco earlier this season. Courtois is a celebrated sim racer and die-hard racing fan.

Sources say that Thibaut Courtois wants to give young drivers a chance to fight in motorsport.

A lot of rumors in Spain say that Merhi, a former Marussia driver who will allegedly serve as an advisor, and Courtois are putting together the team.

Spanish F4 is where TC Racing plans to start, and then they might move on to other youth series. This is because Spanish F4 is usually one of the first steps for drivers who move up from karting to single-seater racing.

This year’s series has five three-race rounds. They are held in Spain at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and at Jerez, as well as in Portugal at Estoril and Belgium at Spa-Francorchamps.

AS also says that Courtois’ idea doesn’t have a “concrete structure” yet, even though the club is thinking about it.

How does Thibaut Courtois have anything to do with racing? Courtois is a famous Formula 1 fan who has been to many races and been in the pit lane and grid. Another thing he did was be a “celebrity” player in the Covid-19 pandemic F1 Esports.

The now-Williams driver asked, “How is he that fast?!?” during a very risky move against Alex Albon at Silverstone. What is it? What kind of engine does it have?

“You lost a professional goalkeeper!” George Russell made fun of what was going on.

Courtois has recently paid Williams a visit as well. He also appears in a Real Madrid movie where Carlos Sainz, a die-hard Madrid fan, plays FIFA against Thibaut Courtois.
