LUKE SHAW was the only player back at England training on Tuesday sporting a green bib.
Since February, the 28-year-old Manchester United left-back has been out due to recurrent hamstring issues.
It was doubtful if his physical issues would allow him to make Gareth Southgate’s final 26-man squad for Euro 2024.
England received a boost on Tuesday as Luke Shaw returned to training
His condition meant he had to wear a green bib for the session
He did, however, ultimately board the aircraft and fly to Germany, where England touched down on Monday.
Twenty-four hours later, Shaw was observed exercising alongside his teammates.
Having no other left-footed defender in his team, this will be a huge advantage for Southgate.
Five days later, on June 20, they play Denmark in their last group-stage game.
In Friday’s 1-0 loss to Iceland, the 30-year-old Manchester City center-back was replaced at halftime.
He is anticipated to start against Serbia, though, as Marc Guehi was left out of the squad due to injury.
Shaw’s critical health did, however, require him to wear a green bib, which marks him as a player to avoid touching.
The Man United player has three goals and 31 caps for his country, the last one coming in the Euro 2020 final defeat to Italy.
Shaw’s availability for the Euros opening against Serbia on Sunday is yet unknown, though.
