Reinier Jesus, a Real Madrid prospect, has finally finalized his departure from the club after a protracted and agonizing wait regarding his future during the summer transfer window.
In fact, the Merengues have formally announced that the 21-year-old offensive midfield prodigy has agreed to a season-long loan with Serie A upstarts Frosinone.
“Real Madrid CF and Frosinone Calcio have agreed on the loan of the player Reinier for this season, until June 30, 2024,” stated the club’s official statement.
Reinier moved from Flamengo to Real Madrid in January 2020 in a deal of β¬30 million, however he has yet to play a single game for the first squad.
The 21-year-old was a loanee at Borussia Dortmund for two seasons, although he made little of note there. During the 2022β23 season, Reinier was on loan at Girona but failed to make much of an impression there either.
Reinier has now agreed to a loan with Frosinone when it became evident that he would not be a part of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad this season.
According to rumors, the contract will not include a permanent purchase option, therefore Reinier will return to Real Madrid for the upcoming campaign.
