Their situation has been worsened by a defensive injury crisis, with Dani Carvajal, David Alaba, Ferland Mendy, and Eder Militao all sidelined.
Carlo Ancelotti is already exploring options to restore Los Blancos as the team to beat in the upcoming transfer window.
According to talkSPORT, the Madrid manager has surprisingly turned his attention to Old Trafford.
