When Nottingham Forest visits Anfield on Sunday, Liverpool will have the opportunity to stay in touch with the top four teams. The Reds should have little trouble winning at home since they are coming off a 5-1 Europa League group stage victory against Toulouse.

With his team set up in a 4-3-3 formation, Jurgen Klopp will probably make some big changes to his starting lineup. Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister, Domink Szoboszlai, Virgil Van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Kostas Tsimikas, and Alisson are the starting lineup for this home game.

Liverpool’s Likely XI Against Nottingham Forest: 4-3-3

Defence

In front of his home supporters, Alisson will be starting in goal for the Reds and will be attempting to maintain a clean sheet. The goal of Liverpool’s defense duo of Ibrahima Konate and Virgil Van Dijk is to keep the other team at bay for the entire game.

Trent-Alexander Arnold will keep his right-back position, while Kostas Tsimikas will give it his all on the left.

Defense is covered off the field by Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.

Midfield

Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, and Alexis Mac Allister will be Klopp’s main center midfielders as they try to prove they are better than the opposition. If Liverpool is to have any hope of winning at Anfield, all three of them must demonstrate excellent ball movement.

Both Custis Jones and Harvey Elliot will be sitting on the bench in case either of them is needed to contribute in the second half.

Attack

On the left wing, Darwin Nunez will attempt to make an impression, while on the right, Luis Diaz will try to put his speed to good use.

The Liverpool offense will be led by Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian international will be responsible for the bulk of his team’s goal scoring.

Diogo Jota will be sitting on the bench for the time being as he waits for his opportunity to shine in the attacking third.
