Samaira Sharma, daughter of Indian captain Rohit Sharma, recently won over fans by wearing a Lionel Messi jersey that football great David Beckham had given her as a gift.

Rohit is a huge football fan and supports Real Madrid. He recently had an interesting experience with Beckham. Beckham gave Rohit a special Inter-Miami jersey with Lionel Messi’s name and the famous number 10 on it. He did this after a fun swap of jerseys.

This sweet story got even better when Ritika Sajdeh, Rohit’s wife, posted a cute picture on Instagram. In the picture, their daughter Samaira was wearing a Messi shirt and smiling big. Within the comment, Ritika thanked Beckham for making their little Messi fan very happy.

Soon after this conversation, Rohit had a great game and led India to an amazing 70-run win over New Zealand in the World Cup 2023 finals. 

During a big event at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, the Indian captain was seen wearing Beckham’s Real Madrid jersey. Beckham was wearing the Indian team’s World Cup 2023 shirt himself.

As a UNICEF brand representative, Beckham went to the semifinal and talked to Indian cricket legends like Sachin Tendulkar. He also congratulated Virat Kohli on his record-breaking hundred. After the game, he gave Rohit his signed Real Madrid jersey. It was a unique exchange between two of the most famous athletes in the world.

Meanwhile, Rohit is getting ready to lead India in the highly-anticipated final of the 2023 World Cup, which will be held in Ahmedabad on November 19.
