Arne Slot took charge of his first game at Anfield, having led his new side in their pre-season tour of the United States, where they beat Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Slot’s team made light work of Sevilla, beating them 4-1 – with Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz (x2) and Trey Nyoni all getting on the score-sheet.

Liverpool’s third came just before the break and if it was a glimpse of what’s to come during Arne Slot’s time as head coach, fans should be excited.

The Reds found the back of the net with just four passes, starting from Alisson and ending with Diaz tapping it into an empty net.

Alisson started things with a lob to Salah near the half-line.

Salah showed great strength to hold off the defender and cushioned the ball for Jota to play.

Jota weighted the ball perfectly for Szoboszlai to run onto in behind the defence.

Szoboszlai left the defenders in the dust and set Diaz up perfectly.

Diaz had the simplest of finishes to round off a perfect Liverpool move.

Liverpool fans loved the goal as they hailed ‘Slot ball’.
