Getafe has requested that the match referee during their 2-0 loss to Real Madrid mention Jude Bellingham’s alleged terrible slur directed at Mason Greenwood.
After agreeing with the club that it would be best for him to resume his career elsewhere following his arrest on suspicion of several offences, including attempted rape, in January 2022, Greenwood left Manchester United on loan last summer.
In February 2023, the Crown Prosecution Service subsequently withdrew the allegations; however, Greenwood was loaned to Getafe, where he has flourished in his first season in Spain.
The two English athletes faced off in Thursday’s match, which some fans claimed featured graphic moments.
Upon finishing a forceful tackle on the 22-year-old, Bellingham came into focus on camera, and some fans thought she mouthed the word ‘rapist’ towards the Getafe forward.
According to Cadena SER, the club has requested that referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea include the comments in his report and has also informed the LaLiga delegate who was present at the game to watch the video of the alleged slur.
The club is eager to examine the photos after a video of the event went popular on social media, but it is not believed that they are intending to file a complaint against Bellingham.
The Spanish football federation (RFEF) may still discipline Bellingham for the incident’s inclusion in the match report, but it would probably be challenging to establish Bellingham’s credibility in the absence of audio evidence.

Joselu gave Madrid the lead in the fourteenth minute, and ten minutes into the second half, the former Stoke City forward doubled his total.
With the win, Carlo Ancelotti’s team returned to the top of La Liga, two points clear of surprise leader Girona in second.
Before facing the Catalan team at the top of the standings the following Saturday, Madrid will host their cross-town rivals Atletico on Sunday.
Ancelotti stated at a press conference, “If we win the next two games, we will have six more points, and that will be good.”
“Hopefully, Rudiger will be available for Sunday’s Derby; I believe he will make a full recovery.” It’s a serious knock to the thigh; we have two days to attempt to get him back.
Despite playing the entire ninety minutes against Madrid, Greenwood was unable to change the outcome since Joselu’s heroics ensured the victory.
Following a shot from outside the area, the Man United loanee did indeed strike the post shortly after the half.
Joselu gave the visitors the lead in the first quarter of the match with a spectacular header from Dani Carvajal’s cross. Madrid had dominated from the beginning.
He had a fantastic opportunity to increase Real Madrid’s advantage in the 38th minute, but David Soria, the custodian, stopped his attempt with one hand.
After the break, centre back Antonio Rudiger did not return due to a leg injury, adding to the list of regulars already out of action for Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti. Regulars missing out included goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and defenders David Alaba and Eder Militao.
Shortly after the half, Joselu increased Real Madrid’s lead by finishing low with a feed from Vinicius Jr.
When he broke through after a brief counterattack, he had the opportunity to finish his hat-trick, but instead he attempted to set up Vinicius, who chipped the ball directly at Soria from close range.
Borja Mayoral took advantage of a mistake by Vinicius and Getafe, but Real custodian Andriy Lunin made a fantastic stop to deflect his point-blank strike on to the post. Soria made excellent saves from Federico Valverde and Getafe.
