Thursday night’s Brazil vs. Colombia World Cup qualifying match saw Vinicius Jr. help Gabriel Martinelli score the opening goal, but the Real Madrid winger was pulled off the field with what looked to be a hamstring injury shortly after.
After a quick evaluation by the team doctors on the field, Vinicius collapsed, holding his hamstring. After that, a substitution was made, and Vinicius left the field looking very agitated.
The good news is that the Brazilian was able to exit the field by himself, but no likely with some difficulty. As soon as he hit the bench, his left leg was promptly treated.
The injury happened away from the ball. There was nothing to get in the way. Running alone, Vinicius stumbled and caught his hamstring.

This season, Real Madrid’s injury situation has been horrible. Vinicius has already missed four games this season due to a hamstring ailment. Just this international break, Eduardo Camavinga had a knee injury during France’s training session, and Jude Bellingham had to withdraw from the England squad due to a shoulder ailment.
Although Real Madrid is lucky to have Bellingham and Dani Ceballos back after the international break, Carlo Ancelotti’s starting lineup is rapidly thinning.
