The Netherlands international moved from Bologna to Old Trafford for £36.5 million.
Zirkzee, who is 23 years old, signed a five-year deal to become the first player signed by the Theatre of Dreams since Sir Jim Ratcliffe took over.
“Manchester United is pleased to confirm that Joshua Zirkzee has joined the club, subject to registration,” something from a club statement said.
“The Dutch forward signed a deal that lasts until June 2029, but there is an option to make it last one more year.”
“Zirkzee was Bologna FC’s top scorer last season and helped his team make it to the UEFA Champions League. He was named the 2023–24 Serie A Under–23 Player of the Year.”
“The 23-year-old Netherlands international earlier won six trophies during his time with Bayern Munich.”
Born and raised in Bayern Munich, Zirkzee is thrilled to have joined the Premier League giants.

Erik Ten Hag and his scouts were interested in Zirkzee because he scored 12 goals in 37 games last season.
He was chosen for the Netherlands’ Euro 2024 team because of how well he played in his last season in Serie A.
He played his first game for the Oranje in their win over Turkey earlier this month in the quarterfinals.
Zirkzee got his second cap on Wednesday night, when the Dutch lost to England in the semi-finals in the last minute.
The new athletic director for United, Dan Ashworth, is excited about what Zirzkee can do.
He said, “One of our main goals this summer was to get a forward to add to our already strong group of attacking players.”
“We are thrilled to have signed a player of Joshua’s calibre so early in the transfer window.”
“Joshua is a very talented player who is ready to make a difference for Manchester United.”
