This is terrible news for both Real Madrid and Tchouameni. After a rough first season in the Spanish city, the French midfielder had become an undisputed starter. He was very important on defense in Ancelotti’s diamond formation, and Madrid will only have Eduardo Camavinga as a true defensive midfielder who can fill Tchouameni’s spot in that formation.
After the Christmas break, Tchouameni should be back right away, but he will need to be patient and heal properly from this complicated fracture.
