The jaw-dropping nightclub inside Real Madrid’s £860m Bernabeu renovation… as Spanish giants race to get super luxury box ready for Taylor Swift

Beautiful images of the “crown jewel” of Real Madrid’s £860 million renovation of the Santiago Bernabeu have been made public.

On matchdays, the 200-seat ultra-exclusive Skybar is not only the most opulent seat in the house, but it also doubles as a nightclub where patrons can dance the night away.
The 14-time European champions are now renovating their legendary stadium, which will increase seating to 85,000 and include a retractable top and 360-degree screen.

The new VIP area right at the top is expected to be operational by the end of April and certainly in time for Taylor Swift’s concert there on May 29.

Real haven’t yet revealed the prices for the new SkyBar but tickets are likely to be among the highest in sport, albeit with variations between a Champions League showdown and run-of-the-mill LaLiga games.

The club are aiming to have the Skybar completed and open before Taylor Swift performed two gigs there in late May

The club hopes to have Skybar finished and operational in late May, when Taylor Swift will play two shows there.

Those fortunate enough to own a ticket will enter through one of two neon-lit doors designed – as stated by Room 1804, the designers of SkyBar – ‘to recall the emblematic buildings of Madrid.’

With a big bar in the middle and the restaurant and nightclub at either end, the space will be divided into four sections. A feature in the middle of the space will prominently feature drink bottles.

There will subsequently be tiers of seating with couches and refreshment tables overlooking the pitch.

With its oval shape, the marble and bronze bar will ‘create reflections’, creating the illusion of an upscale cocktail lounge.

Huge LED screens adorning the walls and ceiling of the restaurant and nightclub will allow for the projection of various visuals based on the mood.

A starry sky is projected inside the room in the artist’s impressions released by Room 1804. There won’t be any packing up at the last whistle because DJs will be invited to play sets at events.

The plan is for the Skybar to be used for more than just matchdays. In the evenings, it will double as a restaurant and bar and can also be rented out for 500 people as a business space.

It will also be included in the Bernabeu stadium tour, where visitors may stop for a snack or soft drink and take in expansive views of the field and the city beyond.

Real Madrid have not yet released the prices for the VIP area but access isn't likely to be cheap, especially for the big games

Although Real Madrid has not yet disclosed the cost of admission, it is expected that it would not be inexpensive, particularly during the major matches.

The renovated Bernabeu boasts an 800-meter-long terrace called SkyWalk that encircles the uppermost level of the stadium.

On September 2, 2018, the renovated Bernabeu formally reopened, and fittingly, it was new star Jude Bellingham who secured a 2-1 victory with a late goal in front of 66,000 spectators.

When all the construction is completed, an additional 20,000 people will be able to reside there, giving Real Madrid a cutting-edge stadium that will make the rest of football jealous.
