According to journalists Mike Keegan and Simon Stone, Manchester United acted nice towards Mason Greenwood when the England international left Old Trafford.
Man Utd didn’t want to, but had to part with Mason Greenwood. The statement read: “All involved, including Mason, recognize the difficulties he faces as he restarts his career at Manchester United.
“Therefore, both sides have agreed that it would be most appropriate for him to leave Old Trafford, and we will now work with Mason to achieve that outcome.”
Greenwood’s participation in games was prohibited for more than a year. The Red Devils continue to remunerate the England international on a weekly basis at a rate of £75,000.
Most recently, Greenwood might be loaned out before being sold out or freed when the two parties cancel the deal, according to Daily Mail journalist Mike Keegan.
The striker continues to get the remaining money under the terms of the contract, which is valid until June 2025, according to BBC journalist Simon Stone.
