Lionel Messi and Novak Djokovic met at the Ballon d’Or in Paris.
The Serb is in Paris right now to play in the Paris Masters, where he hopes to set a new record by winning a record seventh title. He has kept himself busy by going to a lot of city sports games.
This past weekend, the 36-year-old watched the Rugby World Cup final between South Africa and New Zealand. He was also at the Ballon d’Or event, where he met Lionel Messi and gave him a hug. The Serb gave the Argentine’s wife, Antonella Rocuzzo, a hug as well.
Messi went on to win the prestigious award for a record eighth time. This time, it was for being the best player at the World Cup in Qatar, where he helped Argentina win the title.During the event, Djokovic gave the Ballon d’Or to Aitana Bonmati of Spain, who helped her country win the World Cup earlier this year.
The Serb really loves soccer and cheers for AC Milan, one of the best teams in Italy. During the 2018 World Cup, he went to Qatar to see Argentina beat France to win their third title.
