Vinicius, Jude Bellingham, and Courtois received the award which was presented last Monday in London at the team’s sporting city of Merengue.
The Best 2024 which he presented last Monday in London during the gala once again honored Leo Messi, player of Inter Miami. The gala organized by FIFA did not have any nominees for the 2023 Best Player title, so neither Haaland, Mbappé nor the award-winning Messi attended the event.
This organization surprised everyone by honoring Messi as The Best 2024, but no one came to receive the Argentine star’s award. It was Henry, a former Arsenal and Barcelona player among others, who, as host, ‘received’ the award in a somewhat surreal setting.
Real Madrid did not leave empty-handed at The Best 2024 gala and up to 3 Real Madrid players were recognized in the list of 11 ideals for 2023. The names Vinicius, Jude Bellingham, and Courtois are among the 11 selected.
Real Madrid players did not attend the gala held in London and therefore shared the same fate as the main characters who were not present in the British capital. This Wednesday, the Real Madrid stars of The Best received awards at Real Madrid City. Vinícius, Bellingham, and Courtois smiled together for a photo with the award at Real Madrid City Florentino Pérez, in training gear after training on Wednesday. Furthermore, arch-rivals, FC Barcelona, did not receive a single reminder in the form of an award at the gala in London.
Jude Bellingham, the first of many
For Jude Bellingham, this is the first time he has been among the 11 awarded by FIFA last season, and on social media he is delighted with this achievement: “Very proud to be part of the excellent FIFA 11 alongside some incredible players, as well as some friends and colleagues from my club and country. Thank you to everyone who voted.” For his part, Courtois achieved this achievement for the second time in a row.
Bellingham and Vinicius were unable to attend due to the Spanish Super Cup in Riyadh and the Real Madrid goalkeeper, recovering from a serious knee injury, was unable to be present at the FIFA gala held last Monday in London. With this new recognition, Real Madrid is set to return to La Liga.
