MARCUS RASHFORD has arrived for his duty in England. Due to personal reasons, he missed the start of camp.
The Manchester United player may be included in the upcoming games against Malta and North Macedonia.
“Personal matters” kept Rashford out of the starting lineup for Gareth Southgate’s training camp.
Kalvin Phillips postponed joining for the same reason, but he is expected back soon.
With the absences of Jude Bellingham and Levi Colwill from the team, there were five players who left the initial group. Simultaneously, the FA confirmed the pair’s postponement.
Manager Gareth Southgate had already suffered three withdrawals.
James Maddison, Lewis Dunk, and Callum Wilson are all out with injury.
Cole Palmer, a former teammate who had an amazing start to his Chelsea career, and Rico Lewis, a standout for Manchester City, have both been called up for the first time to the Three Lions camp.
Ezri Konsa, a center-back for Aston Villa, can earn his first cap for England following his first call-up.
Rashford returned to the United starting lineup in the team’s 1-0 victory over Luton over the weekend, having missed the Fulham victory due to injury.
Southgate has given the forward the go-ahead to start scoring goals again, despite his lone Premier League goal this season.
The England manager said, “In the end, and with the big bucks, comes the big pressure.”
All of the goals from the previous season were scored by him.
“I’m very sure not even Harry thinks I have to score the goal.
“Hojlund’s goal at United might be helpful, but Marcus has a goal-scoring history, so it’s likely to happen again.”
“He simply needs to pick up a few before striking out on his own.”
