Adidas is honoring Toni Kroos, the most famous person to wear the boots, and also enjoying the adiPURE 11Pro 2’s tenth anniversary with a very small run.
This defender has won four Champions League titles and the World Cup with Real Madrid and Germany. He wears adidas’ 11Pro design, which hasn’t been sold in ten years.
The adiPURE 11Pro 2 came out in 2013 in a number of colorways, but it was finally taken off the market to make room for the next shoe in the line. However, Kroos has worn the style every season since then, and because of his unwavering dedication to them, the boots have gained an unintended cult following.
adidas has shown off two versions of the 11Pro for the upcoming limited rerelease: an ultra-limited edition that is made to match every detail of Kroos’ shoes, and a wider release version that looks like the original but has some modern touches added to it.
The limited-edition Kroos special has the adiPURE III soleplate, which came out in 2009, and the German flag design on the heel. To make the perfect Kroos copy, the boots will only come in his size, which is 8.5.
The wider one has the new COPA Pure soleplate and doesn’t have the German flag design on it. It still has the same re-stitched upper made of very light and soft Taurus leather that molds to the shape of the foot, which is what made the adiPURE 11Pro 2s popular.
Stay tuned to adidas channels to have a chance at getting what is sure to become one of the most sought-after pieces of football souvenirs ever.
