A few days after declaring that the “march is immutable”, regarding his retirement from professional football, Toni Kroos has reunited with Real Madrid and will visit the Santiago Bernabéu stadium this Saturday, October 5, against Villarreal.
In response to the many messages of longing he has received from fans, Kroos recently pointed out that he appreciates it but that they must respect the current squad. That is to say, he believes that the fans should focus on the club, which will learn to play without him.
But this does not mean that the German does not miss the Merengues and that is why he took the opportunity to visit them, just 133 days after the match against Real Betis, the match in which he said goodbye to the White House.
Kroos wanted a discreet visit, without making noise and accompanied by his daughter and son. However, as the stadium cameras flashed him on the screens, he had no choice but to greet the merengue fans who began chanting his name.
The former player also had the opportunity to pose for a photo with some of the fans who approached, while on the pitch things went relatively smoothly for those led by Carlo Ancelotti. It was Toni’s successor as number 8, Federico Valverde, who opened the scoring in the 14th minute and Vinicius 73′ sealed a 2-0 win.
The bad news is that Dani Carvajal has been injured, with the player confirming via social media that he will need surgery on a serious cruciate ligament injury.
