TRAINING PHOTOS: Jonny Evans and striker Anthony Martial return to team training; Captain Bruno is absent before the match against Crystal Palace

In anticipation of the Premier League match at Crystal Palace on Monday night, Erik ten Hag has provided an update on his team.

The Reds welcomed back to first-team training on Thursday morning, defender Jonny Evans and forward Anthony Martial, as they got ready for the 20:00 BST kickoff.

Martial has not been seen since having surgery in January, while Evans has not been seen since the Chelsea match. The Frenchman’s final game of the season was a home loss to Bournemouth in late December.

But captain Bruno Fernandes is doubtful for the match at Selhurst Park, and Scott McTominay has to fight against time to get to the south.

Ten Hag stated at his pre-game press conference, “Scott [McTominay] did not train so far this week but I expect him back in training on Saturday.” Then, we will have to wait and see if he is available for the entire game or just a portion of it.

“We also had a problem with Bruno [Fernandes] after the game, so he is questionable for Monday. Nevertheless, we know that Bruno will battle to play in this game.

“He is doing his hardest to be available, so never rule him out of any game. Jonny Evans rejoined the team today, and tomorrow we will assess if his return will be sufficient before the game in two days. A portion of the team training involved Anthony [Martial].

Along with Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, Tyrell Malacia, and Willy Kambwala, Marcus Rashford is still not available.

The boss went on, “His wound from Coventry has not healed.” “I can not tell [you] when he will be back in training.”

NEWS FROM PALACE’S TEAM

The return of key defender Marc Guehi to training appears to be a major boost for the home team. This might be the England center-back’s first accessible opportunity since Oliver Glasner took over as manager.

Important midfielders Jefferson Lerma and Cheick Doucoure should also be available, along with key player Eberechi Eze.

Sam Johnstone, a former Red, is out. Dean Henderson, a former United keeper, is expected to start. Rob Holding and Matheus Franca may still be out.
