Trent Alexander Arnold has surpassed Andrew Roberston to earn the top spot in Premier League history for assists by a defender. On Saturday, February 10, the Englishman accomplished the feat in the first half against Burnley when he crossed in for Diogo Jota, who finished it off with a stunning header in the 31st minute.
With this assist, he has now surpassed colleague Andrew Robertson, who held the record with 57 assists, with 58 assists in the league. Everton icon Leigton Baines is next with 53 assists.
But Jurgen Klopp substituted the right back at halftime, and it was later revealed that the defender had been hurt in the first half.
