Rasmus Hojlund is 007 in the Premier League, but he can’t stop hitting in the Champions League.
The 20-year-old Dane scored again for Manchester United in Europe. He scored the first goal in less than three minutes against his old team, Copenhagen, and then added another in the 28th minute.
The £72 million summer signing from Atalanta didn’t seem to be celebrating quietly; after both goals, he took off flying with joy.
Hojlund now has five goals in four Champions League games for United, which is a new club record. It’s easy to see why he was so happy.
Dimitar Berbatov, a former scorer for Manchester United, held the record for the best Champions League start in Manchester with four wins in four games. But Hojlund has already beaten him and may add to his record before the game is over.
Soon after, Hojlund had a wicked shot stopped that would have given him a hat-trick, and then he swept another shot just wide.
It was Marcus Rashford, though, who soon stole the show when he was sent off in the 42nd minute.
Then United lost their 2-0 lead, so the score was tied going into the break. This took the shine off of their new star scorer.
