Manchester United keeps putting on weak offensive shows, but Mason Greenwood keeps doing great things at Getafe.

It looks like the forward is back to his old self. He has scored three goals and set up four others in 13 league games.

Getafe is now eighth in the league, just four points behind teams in the running for European places, thanks to his strong scoring play.

He kept up his great play with another world-class performance, this time against the best team in the world, Atletico Madrid.

Borja Mayoral’s two goals helped Getafe earn an unlikely point in an exciting 3-3 draw.

Mason Greenwood, on the other hand, was at the centre of every attempt because he was too good for Diego Simeone’s famous defence to handle.

For Getafe, Greenwood touched the ball 82 times and was involved in every effort. Greenwood was a threat to the Atletico defence because he made three key passes and four successful dribbles and often charged into the pitch after beating his man and throwing the defence off balance.

Five times he shot at goal, and only two hit the target. One was a rasping drive from outside the box that Jan Oblak blocked with his strong hands.  The stats come from softcore.

He didn’t score or set up a goal at the end of the game, but it wasn’t because he wasn’t trying.

The game was completely controlled by Getafe, who had 29 shots but only scored three goals.

Greenwood, on the other hand, would be very pleased with his performance as he starts to get back to form.

Several clubs, including Real Madrid and Barcelona, are said to be interested in the player. United’s risk of loaning him out to raise his value seems to be paying off.
