Key players like Frenkie de Jong, Raphinha, and Robert Lewandowski have been hurt over the past few weeks, leaving Barcelona feeling bad. They have joined Pedri in the hospital.
After tonight’s game against Granada, Barcelona will have a break for international play. They will hope that their hurt players get better quickly because they have important games coming up against Athletic Club, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Real Madrid.
Frenkie, Lewandowski won’t be back for as long.
But it looks like Barcelona will have to wait a little longer to see Frenkie de Jong and Robert Lewandowski play again.
According to Alejandro Segura on Radio MARCA, the famous duo will not be coming back right away after the international break. Instead, they will need a little more time to get better.
De Jong hurt his ankle in the game against Celta Vigo, and it was said that he might not be able to play for five weeks.
On the other hand, Lewandowski hurt his ankle in the game against FC Porto earlier this week and will be out for about a month.
There was still some chance, though, that they might be able to get better faster than expected and at least be back in time for El Clasico.
That might not happen, though, since both De Jong and Lewandowski will need time to get better.
